Mini Review: The Dark Knight Rises

Great acting, story, and action lets this movie get away with being almost three hours long. Christian Bale is still reliable in his last act in the cape and cowl, Tom Hardy is surprisingly effective as Bane, and Anne Hathaway surpasses my expectations as Selina Kyle. Solid support from Gary Oldman and Joseph Gordon-Levitt is also a very good thing. Music is what you would expect from Hans Zimmer (working solo this time), loud, intimidating, and emotional. Without going into a lot of detail, the story more than adequately finishes the The Dark Knight trilogy that Nolan and Company embarked on in 2005. It may not top the The Dark Knight, but it sure as hell doesn't disappoint.

Sometimes it may just be the rants of a rather addled mind, my mind. So if anyone wants to join up, you may do so. But, remember there are no rules of engagement. Enjoy......
